Among the other attractions of Baia, there is the Aragonese Castle overlooking the splendid panorama and its museum contains artifacts ranging from Greek colonization to the end of the Roman Empire.
Casina Vanvitelliana is a small villa located in the middle of Lake Fusaro in Bacoli. It was commissioned by the Bourbons who, in the Fusaro area, had their hunting area and needed a cottage where to eat during the outings. The construction of the Casina was begun by Luigi Vanvitelli and finished by his son Carlo, and is a fine example of eighteenth-century architecture.
Today it is not possible to visit the interior of the structure that in the past was used to host illustrious people such as Mozart and the former President Luigi Einaudi.
It is said that in the Casina Vanvitelliana was rebuilt the home of the fairy Turk for the film "The Adventures of Pinocchio" by Comencini. The popular belief this time is wrong, but the Casina can boast a television appearance of all respect: appears in the film "Ferdinand and Carolina" by Lina Wertmüller, which tells the story of the "Big Nose King" of the Bourbons.
